Yes — a real phone call goes out to the company, holds through hold music and IVR menus, and talks to a real representative. Nothing about it is simulated.
You still only ever pay the flat $10 for that call — we never take a cut of savings because there's nothing to take a cut of. If the company won't budge, you're not out any percentage of anything.
Usually no. If the company needs the account holder specifically, we patch you in for about 30 seconds to verify your identity — then you hang up and we finish the negotiation from there.
